Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare is a rescue and re-homing centre for domestic animals. Over 1500 animals arrive here at our 40 acre site annually, most are found loving new homes, some stay in sanctuary. We are open 7 days a week to visitors and entrance is FREE. Education at Raystede invites schools, youth groups and families to learn more about animals and their care. We have cats, dogs, horses, ponies, donkeys, parrots, tortoises, terrapins, rabbits, guinea pigs, chipmonks, birds, chinchillas, degus, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, rats, mice, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas and plenty of wildlife. Visitors are welcome to enjoy walks around the dedicated pathways to see the animals. There are picnic areas and a cafe, gift/charity shop and free parking.
