Fishers-Farm-Barrel-Bugs-2012-Andrea-Sarlo (12)Fishers Farm Park is an award winning attraction, set in the heart of West Sussex countryside, and offers a great family day of fun, adventure and discovery! No matter what time of year you visit, there is so much to do, with a good combination of outdoor and indoor activities. Outdoors there are lots of play areas such as enormous bouncy pillows, tractor rides, go karts, trampolines, rock wall climbing, zip wires, helter skelter, climbing frames and merry-go rounds, mazes (and lots more). There is the ‘Southdowns Adventure’ which has toddler quad bikes, a toboggan run, there are even ‘Bumper Boats’ and a galleon ship in the Pirates Bay open all year round. There are lots of special events such as “meet the animals” shows, family discos in The Barn Theatre, and pig racing! There are pony rides, and secret woodland trails for nature lovers, as well as The Kitchen Garden (added in 2015) which is great for school trips.  There are lots of animals to see in the animal barn, and regular ‘animal handling’ sessions where the kids can hold, stroke and learn about a wide range of animals from a giant tortoise, to unusual ducklings and rabbits or bottle-feeding baby lambs. There is also lots of indoor soft play separated into different zones according to age group, as well as a baby sensory room. Comfy seating close by for adults, so that you can relax while keeping an eye on the kids!

Almost all activities are included in the admission charge, though there are some additional options e.g. pony rides for a small fee. There are several child friendly eating outlets here as well, and each one has a ‘mum’s microwave’ for heating up baby milk / baby food . The main restaurant is called The Saddle Rooms, serving home-cooked locally produced food. There is a children’s menu and also a ‘5-a-day dipping platter’!  ‘Bizzi Bags’ are a sandwich, crisps, drink, fruit, chocolate bar and a colouring pack. The restaurant has lots of highchairs and there are real saddles at the ordering counter made into stools for the children to sit on when ordering – a bit of fun! They also have traditional games like ‘dominos’ on each table for the children to do whilst waiting for the food!

In all, it is a really friendly attraction to visit, the staff are very welcoming and helpful. My advice, arrive early to give yourselves enough time to see and do everything here! For more information about what there is to see and do, please visit the website and don’t forget to book your tickets online if you want to avoid the queues.

Look out for seasonal events and treats on the Fishers Farm Park website. ‘The Magic of Christmas’ sells out every year, so book easy to avoid disappointment!
