Between now and the end of May 2012, the stunning Bluebells are out, and there are some woodlands with gorgeous carpets of Bluebells in Sussex, close to Brighton and Hove.

- My personal favourite is the Bluebell Railway – all steam railway! See my listing here for information on how to get there, and entry fees for the train rides. For panoramic views of the bluebells, travel in their 1913 Observation Carriage from 1st-4th and 8th-11th May http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bluebell/events/index.html. Booking essential.
- Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail - this is open daily until Sunday 13th May 2012 from 10am-5pm (closed Mondays except for Bank Holiday Mondays). “The Blue Walk” is approximately three quarters of a mile, and perfect for seeing the bluebells in Beaton’s Wood.
